Join the future of "Made in America" Are you between ages of 18 to 24 years and looking for a job? Check out the Manufacturing Careers Internship Program. MCIP opens career paths for youths ages 18 - 24 to either obtain a job or take additional education and training in manufacturing.    

 
How it Works:
 
This multi-step approach provides youth with a multi-week industry-based, training module that provides role models, training and hands-on experience in the manufacturing sector. The Illinois workNet Center Arlington Height - Business and Career Services, Inc. has teamed up with area manufacturers to provide jobs for area youth.

 
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES 
  • Paid Internship
  • Career Boot Camp
  • OSHA safety training
  • Overview of the manufacturing industry
  • Tour major employers in the manufacturing industry
  • Learn about the variety of jobs available in manufacturing   
  • Inside track to your job in the future

Procurement Showcase for Veteran-Owned Businesses - Wednesday, Oct. 15 in Chicago

 
At this unique event, businesses and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet and sit down with high-level procurement managers at key state and federal agencies.  Attendees will learn about vendor requirements, what products/services are high in demand, and what they can do to position themselves for success.  The event is no-cost.  See attached flyer for details.

·         10:30-12:30pm:  Roundtable Discussions with Procurement Decision Makers - Attendees will participate in four 30-minute roundtable discussions of their choosing, each roundtable led by a Procurement Decision Maker from a different state or federal agency. 
·         12:30-1pm:  Network with Special Exhibitors and Colleagues
