About the Author:
Velva Lee Heraty, MSW, is a Jungian certified Depth-Psychotherapist educated at Loyola University, Chicago and the Jung Institute in Evanston, IL. She has thirty years experience in treating people with a wide range of issues and began specializing in dreams midway through her career. For the past twenty years she has presented her research at conferences and conducted clinical training across the globe.  She has also written about dreams under her pen name "Dream Momma." After the 9/11 terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York she became a resource for the National Nightmare Hotline created as a result of that tragic event. Velva is a member of The International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) and The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ.  She divides her time between Chicago, Illinois and St. Petersburg, Florida. She has four children and enjoys photography and sailing.
