world diabetes day!

 

Dear Friends,

 

This upcoming Friday is World Diabetes Day - My office is partnering with Mercy Hospital to provide free blood glucose screenings to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Branch Library (3436 South King Drive, Chicago).

Nearly 50 percent of people living with diabetes don't know they have the condition, which does not always cause obvious symptoms.

We encourage anyone who plans to get a screening not to eat anything Friday morning in order to get the most accurate results. For more information, send me an email or call (312) 949-1908.
