DuSable Museum of African American History

Since the 70's Pemon has been lauded for the development of television productions, films, music concerts, documentaries, plays, and multimedia designs for theatres, social service agencies and medical institutions across the country, Mr. Rami has managed arts and cultural institutions in Chicago, Illinois, Phoenix, Arizona and Los Angeles, California. 
As Chicago's first African-American film casting director, Rami provided talent for the acclaimed feature films and television movies; "Blues Brothers", Mahogany", "Cooley High", "The Spook Who Sat By The Door", and "One In A Million". Pemon co-executive produced and directed a weekly television series for the Black Family channel entitled "Stories From The Soul" and the feature film "Of Boys and Men" starring Angela Bassett and Robert Townsend released by Warner Brothers home video. In 2013, Mr. Rami was selected an Illinois Humanities Road Scholar and was honored as one of the 50 Men of Excellence, by the Chicago Defender Newspaper. Mr. Rami recently was selected for induction into the Wendell Phillips High School Hall of Fame.
